The NWMAC is located at Newbuildings on the outskirts of Londonderry/Derry. The club was established in 1939 and has a proud ethos of promoting safe and enjoyable aeromodeling in association with the BMFA. Our 36 members for 2010, avail of the services of our two BMFA trainers/examiners, who encourage us all to achieve our A&B certs.Our club site boasts two landing strips, one tarmac and one grass of 66 meters in length, which allow for all wind directions.Our pits area is equipped with sturdy benches which ensure a more comfortable position to set up our planes/helicopters.While our membership is drawn mainly from counties Londonderry,Tyrone and Donegal, the NWMAC, extends a warm welcome to all visitors at our usual flying times of Sunday morning (all year) and Thursday evenings(summer only).
